Sony Digital Camera – please recommend which one?

I am sick of looking at digital camera reviews…can someone help me? I want a Sony camera that is easy to use but can zoom in to take great pics of action shots, like at a softball game, basketball game. I love my Cyber-shot, but am ready to step up to next level for better pics. I am willing to pay up to 00, but don’t think my level of photography will require that – need to keep it simple. Looking at the bridge Sony’s – but am really confused there – is that a good choice? Speed is important, too. Lastly, where is the best place to buy once we determine which Sony. And yes, it must be a Sony. Thanks.

Digital camera question… how do I eliminate the date?

I have an Optimus digital camera. When I review photos, the date is not visible. Yet, when I print photos, the date is printed at the bottom. How do I eliminate the date from printing on my photos?
I have checked the manual and there is nothing to resolve this. The only thing I can do is change the date.
Please help.
There is no option on the camera for settings.

Digital Camera Recommendations Please? Expert needed?

My parents bought for me an Olympus FE – 47 for Christmas. I didn’t like the picture quality, wondered if perhaps I wasn’t using the right setting, but decided to check reviews. Found, mostly bad ones. This page pretty much sums up the feelings on it :

I am now thinking of returning it to the store and trying to get a different one instead. Any recommendations for a great digital camera at a good price? This one was 80$ so would like something in that price range.
I did notice that my biggest qualm with it so far is that unlike my sister’s camera, mine does not light adjust for the brightness. Her’s adjusts when in dim lighting. This one takes terrible dim lighting photos, makes it look like it’s pitch black in the room, and there’s a dome of light in the middle with blurred edges

Why is it so hard to find reviews of the Panasonic Lumix DMC FP2 digital camera?

Best Buy is selling this camera, and their own website has positive reviews. But I can’t seem to find any substantial review of the camera anywhere else online. (I have a very nice Panasonic Lumix and am looking for an additional inexpensive ‘pocket camera’ to carry around.)
Gentlemen — Thanks for your responses. I clicked on your links, but I still don’t see REVIEWS for the FP2.
